The Welsh social - A jolly around the Welsh mountains

It appears that the area has a motorway Toll charge somewhere near there, don't know where or what the charges are, but just a heads up, perhaps someone can let us know.

That would be the Severn crossings on the M48 and M4. Its £6-£7 and only applies westbound.
It can be avoided but depending on which direction your coming from I find it often isn't worth the extra distance and time.

HI All.
Just seen this and it sounds like a great jolly. Pity i will not be able to attend as i start my hols on the 22nd. Hope you all have a fab time.
Very jealous

9 cars now going, great result for only a few days advertising this, thank you.

Whilst I said the more the merrier, I think for safety reasons we couldn't really have more than 20 cars running so 11 spaces left...get your name down :)

IF I can persuade Mrs B to bring PO, then we'll probably be in 2 cars and have two teenagers in tow (11 and 13) though being teenagers' their social interaction will be limited. But this is very much an IF.

If anyone is coming from the Midlands or North, coming off the M5 onto the M50 and A449 is a stunning drive, particularly if you have a bit of Stone Roses on loud :)

Hi Steve

Subject to a quick confirmation at home, I'll be along.
Roads look so fab, I might mix up my numbers from A2 to ... something else!

;-)

Would love to come but already booked up that days for a birthday/wedding celebration. Will definitely keep my eye out for the next date. Beautiful scenery for an amazing drive.

Merthyr Tydfil isn't much but its nice and close to the meeting point and the Travelodge is on a site with cinemas, swimming pool and a multitude of restaurants so plenty to keep those staying over entertained.

Great idea, pretty sure we should be able to come. I expect our tired A2 will be shown up by everyone else's smart ones though.
That is what makes this forum so good.
It is not about faster, better, cleaner A2s. It is JUST about A2s !!!!

it is always great seeing fellow addicts and every A2 is different. So condition etc. is not an issue.

Great to see you are attending.
