Audis in the Park 2011 OFFICIAL UPDATE

As Mike said I will be there with the tea and coffee. It is a great day out, and you can see john wingnut wining the show and shine:) the weather was cracking last year and Mike has kindly booked the sun again so it will be great again:)


So I will see you at mc dondalds for pancakes and coffee.

Having just posted in another thread that one more show is too much I've had a quick scan of this thread and seeing as it's cheap and not too far from us we might come along.

Won't commit at the moment as it just seems all go lately but if we fancy a day out on Sunday we'll head down.
 
Hi one and all not long till Audi in the park----so with the down time of a2oc coming up i have decided to post the meeting point early.
If you fancy a spot of McDonald's for breakfast please join us for 8--8.30 here McDonald's Orion Way, Kettering Business Park, Kettering, Northamptonshire NN15 6NL .Or if you prefer just turn up and drive to where all the a2's are in the field. The show opens at 10 am so we normally get there for 9 so we can set up the flags and tent. riverlad will be on site with the tea and coffee as usual and i will be doing the BBQ again. BIRDS01 thanks for the offer to help out with provisions but we have bread sorted(rolls-slices) i will only be cooking bacon this year as it went down well at ADI. BUT TO ALL, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO BRING WHAT EVER YOU FANCY AND USE THE BBQ.
I am so looking forward to seeing old and new faces this year to what is becoming the best Audi show of the year. Please bring a comfy chair or rug to sit on as i have booked the sun-lol if you have not been to a social before why not give it a try i think you will enjoy the day. cheers mike

Yeah I guess I could enter it. It is in no way immaculate inside as I just dont have the time to spend on it. But the bodykit is being measured up and pre-fitted tomorrow so you never know, might have the only yellow colour storm with black bodykit and yellow Votex rear spoiler in the world.

Hey Mark, do you think there is a chance you will have the rear spoiler actually fitted for sunday?

Hi Mark, i promise to keep my saliva away from the car lol.
Never seen a Votex rear spoiler in the flesh so would be nice to see, must say your car is in a colour my alter ego would love, but sadly the real me just wasnt that brave ( plus the mrs wouldn`t let me, i know my place lol).

I have a vortex rear spoiler too, slightly altered as well, to hide the horrible audi part no. stamp on the back of it, which is visible once on the car, design flaw or what.........

Still wondering if its possible to concoct a replica ..........

Just a suggestion Mark, consider doing the rear spoiler in the matt black. I have the rear spoiler too and my car is black and John has his in black on a blue car. I think it may stand out too much and also be quite visible and possibly distracting looking through the rear window.

Just my 2p's worth, but def looking forward to admiring your car, yellow is my favourite colour and think yours is the best combo. Don't tell Petra though, she loves her red!

I agree with tony. Black spoiler is the way forward, as it matches the rear screen. Mine is gloss black and I dont really get any glare problems etc.

Hi Tony and John. I know what you are both saying and appreciate both of your views. Also the idea of the Yellow spoiler and Yellow mirror caps was to make it a personal touch and a one off. It is good to be different and I think the yellow spoiler will break up the black as the car is black from the windscreen all the way to the boot on top, hence why we decided yellow spoiler and mirror caps. But you both might be right and I might decide before it gets bonded on after painting that it should be black. I will keep you both posted.
