Regarding the big bumper...

It looks ok, although i think the A2's headlights don't suit the new big grille bumpers and it may just look like a chavvy tacked on bumper style job?

Yes, it MIGHT, but it is nice to see if you can stretch the boundaries a little and sometimes the results can be very pleasant.

If you are into the OEM look, as many are on here (thankfully) then this would be sacrilege and I can support that view, but I also like people who take chances and offer some different perspectives.

Look at ZIPNJEFF's "Air 2", that is a significant mod and the thought of I would cause an OEM fan to have nightmares, but as it turns out that car is VERY interesting and a nice deviation from the norm.

I agree with your comments that the new shape grill might be too much for the diminutive A2, but it would be nice to see if it could be made to work.

Im always interested in seeing someone have a go at this. Hopefully it will look better than the photoshops.

I love the Air2, looks very futuristic with those wheels.
 
Thanks for the comments on the air 2 .. i want to do something different without spoiling the look of the car in general .. i love the way they look and think it would be a shame to detract from it too much .. loads of interesting ideas that i can take on board ... keep em coming guys /gals ...

I love those wheels! And with the air ride they look even better! I saw a vw up the other day with similar wheels in white and really low! Looked cool
 
The headlight washer covers were stuck on by the previous owner and i have since removed them as didnt really like them . It was on airride when i bought it but the job that was done was shocking and so has now been ripped out with the help of calvin .. robin aand a few others and a whole new kit put in using v2 digital so now all 4 corners are controllable independently . Long way to go before its finished but Robin is helping me to finish off a few bits ... next thing to do is to finish the new boot install and mount the tank and compressor which will be all hidden away . Managed to get replacement parts from Taz so will be starting that this weekend . It will be on display in april at edition 38 as i have had an invite to put it on the aitp stand which im well chuffed about
 
Im sure if you speak to birchall jeff or a2 cars they will tell you as it was fitted before i bought it .. i know it needed a loom but thats all i can help with im afraid ..
 
Ah that maybe the case then, my current beetle steering wheel is colour coded so I'd like one in the A2 :)

Have you got a link for these Steve? I had to buy a Euro set of headlights and luckily got some splittable ones, so should be easy. No good with wiring so might get a mechanic to do that part.
