These are my favourite. Even using plastidip just incase I don't like it. Surely having this done using plastidip would be cost effective to.

Got to agree with you there redbull .. has got a nice look to it ... really would like the votex kit for mine to give it a lower look .. only thing that worries me with mine is if i went with this kind of sxheme would it detract from how low the car actually looks . Hope that makes sense

As for Mr B .. i cant see anyone taking offence or seeing anything negative in any of your responses .. i for one value your opinion ... its great from my view to see someone who has gone all out to achieve what you have with your car as have many others compared with some of the plans i have for mine .. i wouldnt want to think i was ruining my a2 just in the search for something different and that is where your expertise comes into its own .. i would rather seek advice from yourself and others on here to achieve a car that would be appreciated and a pleasure to bring to the meets.. than to have something that people wouldnt give a 2nd glance to .. its easy to get it wrong when it comes to cars eh .. this was the thinking behind this thread to see what opinions people had and what changes/mods they would make or like to see albeit not neccessarily on their own cars ... im hoping i can take some ideas from here to try on my own ..

What can I say? Thank you for those very kind comments.

You seem to be following a similar approach to me.
My project was my own ideas but with lots of helpful input from the forum members and it certainly helped it turn out the way it has.

I think we all aim to get our cars looking the way we want it to and we hope that others like it too, if we manage that then that is perfect.

Without seeming to just return your comments, I can honestly say that your car is a real "head turner" and getting better every day you own it. (mutual backslapping over now! I don't want people reaching for the sick bags) ;)

Lol thanks for that.... hopin may have my 2nd compressor in this weekend its been sat on the side for the past week lol .need to do front brakes too ... then spend few hours polishing both of em up ready for next week ... ..

That's the great thing about this forum, standard A2s and modified A2s, they all look great. And I respect everyone who modifies their little A2. I am currently making my A2 oem but one day I would like to get another and modify it eg. A2 Caddy :)

Have you seen the pick up version .. now thats nice ... be tempted with that to do a rear engine conversion ..

I would like to find a poorly A2 tdi and turn it into a little project Day Van.

Remove the rear seats, weld up the rear doors, remove the rear side windows and Alu it up.

Customise the rear inside etc...

@mattattan$

No idea why but I'm unable to reply to your pm (unless you got it/them?!!?!) so I'll put it here. Dark wheels will look handsome I think - maybe do the

Where you going to say something like "maybe do the wheel caps in the same colour"? if so I couldn't agree more, they really don't suit the polished chrome / Stainless look (IMHO)

Steve B

yes - i lost some of the post - it was meant to say 'do the centrecaps the same colour" ':)

I had a similar colour on the 18" RS4 style wheels I had on the project originally. With the centre caps painted in the same colour (The paint was Honda "Silver Stone")

I thought that the colour was dark enough for a light coloured car and not so dark as to appear black.

Has anyone seen Robins alloys .. he had them painted in a black chrome .. really nice esp on his mauritias blue a2

Just going back to the original post on this thread; have you considered molding MK1 Audi TT dash vents into the centre vents of the A2? I've been looking at them recently and i'm sure they would fit. I suppose it would all depend if it was possibel to find soft touch spray paint to match once they had been 'fillered' in around the rings.

Have been looking at those and some of the other audi rectangular vents ... i think if i was to go down that route it would be easier to recover the dash in something like leather to match up with the rest of the interior ..i know it is possible to to re-texture the dash but think that it would still look off if you get me as it would be quite a big area to try and cover once the filling had been done and those sort of re-tex sprays are good for a localised repair .. still i suppose thats what this is all about isnt it .. creating something different .. maybe i need to find a dash cheap n play... zippy
