London Cruise Fitting Mk2

A must!

Mike fitted Skipton Cruise to my A2 last year and it has been absolutely faultless. It is so easy to use and it makes M-Way driving much more relaxed with your feet up away from the peddles. I have a dodgy knee and it really used to hurt after long journeys but not anymore.

You will wonder why you did without for so long!

Mike is a gent by the way!

Neil

Mike can you PM re new key as I only have one (supply etc I know I have to yet the blade done). Thanks.

OK then, seeing as we've got LisaR, Dev, Ian, Mervyn and possibly one other on board, it looks like the idea is a go-er.

Can I suggest some dates in this case:

August 22nd/23rd
September 12th/13th
September 19th/20th

These are all Saturday/Sundays and obviously, we'll need to come to a consensus on which we all prefer.

So, over to you again!

Cheers,

Mike

Good to see this thread has been revived and I am still happy to host everyone at my place in Purley (nearish M25 & plenty of parking at weekends). I need to get a key matched up (once I find a key cutter, no luck so far). I would also be interested in adding an Ipod link - is that time-manageable Mike?

The only negative is that I cannot do September 12th/13th but can do August 22nd/23rd and September 19th/20th.

Hope this helps

Mike,
Can't make Sept 19/20th as I'm doing the MSA/Aviva Classic.
Other dates are fine, especially Sept 12/13th.
Mervyn

Please count me in - Mike I think you know what I would like done? ;)

cruise wiring loom, new key coding?!?

...the rest I will have to get done at a later date!

Cheers,

M

I'm happy with August 22/23...as its the closest date and I cant wait to get mine done.

Hi Mike

Great to see we have the go ahead, out of those 22nd/23rd is by far the best for me, I can't do the 12th/13th at all due to hubbys work, 19th/20th might be do-able if necessary!

It's looking like the weekend of the 22/23 is the best option then.

I'll PM all the parties with details of deposits (not normally taken, but it prevents people just not bothering on the day) and if you can all get back to me with your details (engine type, year) and what you want doing exactly, I'll get the parts ordered and prepared.

Cheers,

Mike

I believe Mike has PM'd everyone to say it will be going ahead on Saturday 22nd August.
Good to see everything is coming together. :)

I will PM everyone my address a week before the meet, once Mike has firm confirmations from those having work done. Anybody else that wants to come along to just meet up (Dan?) are more than welcome. Please let me know on this thread. Cheers, Christian

Apologies for the late reply, but theoretically, would I still be able to get in on this, or have i left it (far) too late?

What was it you wanted doing Deadman?

You really have left it until late in the day, but PM me and wemay yet be able to fit you in.

Cheers

mike

Im not sure if I can make it next Sat I have a dentist appointment that day as well now Ill have to play it by tooth so to speak!

Huge thanks to Mike for a excellent job, the fitting was made to look very simple and he even didn't mind answering a series of basic questions while he carried out the job. Very pleased also with the bonus option of auto-locking doors and the reassuring beep when I now lock the car!

Many thanks also to Christian for being our host for the day and offering light refreshments during our time there.

Excellent also to briefly meet Lisa before I had to leave, four A2's in a row, can't be bad.

Now I'm just looking forward to trying it all properly, London is not the best place with all the 20/30mph zones!

I also want to say a huge thanks to Mike for our cruise control fitting today, unlike Jasper we had a good chance to test it out on the way to Kent and it was great. Thanks also for giving the car a quick once over and for spotting our coolant leak - your advice was invaluable.

Thanks also to Christian for his hospitality and it was nice to meet you too Jasper!

Thanks again guys and look forward to meeting with you again at some point

Lisa (and David)

...may I also extend my thanks to Mike and Christian.

Sorry to have not met more of you today, but Christian - brilliant host and Mike - top job as usual.

M
