A2OC Donor
...last night my A2 has been written off.
I am wondering what to do when it comes to insurance. It's a write off for sure, but can such wreack be recovered? And by who? Can we / the community salavage anything from it?
And in time can it be replaced by an equally dependable and cherished A2. I will look to this community for help if I may.
Steve, would really appreciate you advice and guidance in purchasing our replacement when we get round to it. Needs a bench seat, min, but silver, SE, red leather, DIS, cruise would be nice. Speak sometime soon
Hi Dave,
I'm sorry and shocked to read about your accident last night. It's odd to think that, whilst I was cooking my evening meal, you were going through an ordeal. I'm obviously pleased to hear that you're all OK-ish. As has been said on many car forums, metal can be replaced but people cannot.
If your A2 had various things that you really appreciated, such as DIS, red leather bench seat, cruise control, etc, then it's probably worth buying it back from the insurance company. Its post-accident value will be tiny, especially if it's a Cat B write-off. This would enable to you replace it like-for-like with much greater ease. Any decent A2 with a bench seat could accept the niceties from your written-off A2.
Best wishes to you all for a speedy recovery,
Tom
