Today I.....

Another great day for a drive on one of the favourite roads :).

I really try to find time for enjoying A2, because winter is coming and boxy will be parked until March, when all the salt is removed from the roads.

And since the road was clear, I have done 7 drives up/down :eek: and the result was that brake pads are a little thiner :).

And yes, I am still on 13 years old tires, even though I have a new set of wheels with 2 years old tires prepared. I have already replaced them, but after a short drive, I put these back on. Maybe a story for some other time.
 
Started putting the car back to it original state today. I took the back and passenger seat out to create a sleeping platform for some nights in the Pyrenees so I could pull up in middle of nowhere and crash. Worked well with a sofa bed mattress on top. Also recommend picking up one of these espresso machines for long trips in the sticks
, the Waitrose coffee sachets that go in this machine are really good.

@nod That is the same generation 1 espresso machine I have. Been finding it very difficult to get the Illy "tea bags" for it- yes I know they are coffee but look like large tea bags. The later machines went onto pods.

So what Waitrose coffee sachets are suitable?

@nod Same instructions as my one. Can you picture one of the items and it in the machine. My one takes what looks like a tea bag.

A very nice acquisition Steve,

I remember when this came up for sale almost 3 years ago. It’s certainly had a few retrofits over time. If I recall correctly it also has a CAN gateway installed. Well done Sir.

Today I had planned to fit a new Bosch coil pack and a set of Denso Iridium TT plugs to my AUA A2, ahead of it going into the garage for some pre-MOT work. Unfortunately the eBay seller I bought the coil pack from didn't actually have any stock, so I've deferred this upgrade for the time being.

Nevertheless, a big thank you to @Robin_Cox for all his helpful advice in anticipation, which was very much appreciated.
