Today I.....

Spent my off days fitting a new coolant temp sensor, very tight and fiddly on an FSI and then cleaning up and fitting some nice sports wheels bought from a member. Before and after, I'm sure you're all familiar, but I do think it looks far better and evens out the aesthetics.View attachment 109336View attachment 109337 Unfortunately at least one is buckled so will need repair, hmm!
Sadly these wheels are the best looking and also the hardest to keep on the road.

Today I changed my thermostat (fsi) or rather I helped a friend - yuk. I think a flush through is called for next be next.
Also took the opportunity to check my lower suspension arms. I was pleasantly surprised they were better than expected, over 19 years old nowView attachment 109247View attachment 109248View attachment 109249View attachment 109250View attachment 109251
Mine looked a little like that, I gave them a going over with a wire brush a found a nasty suprise, all changed now & much safer.

Today I looked at my Akoya project 90 rescue and decided a set of decent doors would be a better bet than repairing these. I've put a Wanted ad in the Market.

today i fitted running lights.
i took the wheel off and attacked the wheel arch liner as per numerous posts to see the best possible way of getting from the cabin to the engine bay.
turns out theres a much more direct route which no doubt most are aware of; under the passenger footwell carpet theres a lovely blank grommet which allows direct access!

marvelous!

Evening all,

Today I managed to step away from the pool and gardening for a few hours to wash the fleet after they accumulated 2-3 weeks of commuting dirt/debris. Also managed to meet up with Aris @flashzero to hand over his new FBMFSW and to provide a couple of firmware updates.

Kind regards,

Tom

Good morning & Happy Father's Day to All
(if relevant).
Inspired by the the trip to the A2 Lakeland Motor Museum the other week I was greeted with these this morning, now just wondering where the best place to position it. 😁.
