I have also exchanged the original ones with Sachs 300 032 since almost two years. Works fine.Hi - are you satisfied of the 300 032 shock absorbers ? I am considering installing those (I still got factory installed ones)...
Any difference or is the ride just the same ?I have also exchanged the original ones with Sachs 300 032 since almost two years. Works fine.
I didnt notice a big change, the car, a 1.4 petrol, handled very good before and after. If think the main driver for my change was a broken spring and I simply took the opportunity to renew ALL things there.Any difference or is the ride just the same ?
I am going to change the bearing and upper bushings so changing the shocks will be one job …
I see those Sachs and Bleinstein B4 in similar price
This is on a FSi I assume. What's the mileage on it and what have you done so far to address the issue. So Today... I Found the earthing cable behind the Pax headlight and took it off for a clean hoping it would cure the miss-fire from the Engine, which was diagnosed by Un4tural and his VAG, thank you once again..
Alas this was not to be, so i have change the spark plugs and it seem to run a little less lumpy, more stable at idle, i haven't gone for a drive yet so this will have to wait until tomorrow. the spark plugs i believe need to be changed due to the carbon build up on the plugs.
Slowly but surely the items are being ticked off.
And what DTCs did the scan report? This is on a FSi I assume. What's the mileage on it and what have you done so far to address the issue.
I'd, (politely), suggest that next time your FSI is scanned, you request the scanner uses the FSI lable file, recently posted here.Mileage is 101.230. and yes FSI
Also, is your car on the OEM ECU, or ProBoost?I'd, (politely), suggest that next time your FSI is scanned, you request the scanner uses the FSI lable file, recently posted here.
Look at the coil packs. Check the date code, they may be original, and if so, should be changed for quality parts, Audi, Bosch or NGK. If they are not original, but are not one of these brands, I'd change them too.
Mac.
Today I found out why my gearbox oil had decided to empty itself, after pulling the driveshaft and noticing the bolt that holds the output shaft was undone, and the brass ring was snapped. Everything else looked good, so new ring, seal and snap ring, then it'll be going back in.
Pretty easy job, if it wasn't for the ABR link nut seizing! Why isn't there a flat on the boot side, instead of the allen key on the other side, which always rounds off.
As it happens, that's exactly what occurredBecause the removal method for the drop links in the angle grinder

You'll find it hard to read the date code, along with the part number. Best take a pic then zoom the pic. Good luck.I’m going to say OEM, as I don’t think it has had the pro boost done.
And I’ll check the coil packs tomorrow morning and report back.
