Today I.....

Just a quick heads up for the Bank holiday Sunday at Stanley Park Blackpool.

A nice few hours stroll around on the Sunday. Would be good if there were several A2's parked up on the way in. Then a drive down the prom past the tower to the windmill into Lytham via St Anne's.
Plenty of good Fish & Chip shops along the way.

Today I drove from Lydney to Accrington, to look at S4 Recaro seats. Advertised as Cream/Beige, and reasonable price.
Got there to find they are Grey/Platinum!
So plan B, over to Batley to look at TT seats. Advertised as Black/White. Nope. 2 sets and both Black/Grey.
Went to 2 places last year in Birmingham and same result.
Are all these breakers colour blind?

Wow that's a fair mileage for a zero result, I feel your pain!!
How much was the Batley Black TT seats on for if you don't mind me asking?
Cheers

Sounds like a good plan, not too far for us

Today, I drove from Hereford to Staines and back to have the fantastic expertise of @Kleynie to replace my OSS and make it work. There were a few issues they had to overcome, not withstanding the foul weather, but they got there in the end, and did an absolutely sterling job too. They were also kind enough to take me to Brooklands nearby while they did the work (which due to various factors not of their doing meant taking roof out a few times) which meant I had a while to look around and take it all in. A thoroughly successful and enjoyable (if tiring) day out!

Today I ...... had the wee yin at the doctors for the MOT. I'm bizarrely nervous about this every year, even now that Ada is a garage queen doing hardly any mileage. 🤣. A pass with no advisories. Chuffed to bits and well impressed with the 19 year old doing so well ❤️

Blew off the intake hose on the egr on the M5 on way to work, I drove to nearest garage and asked for a hose clip, the man came out and said '' I feel sorry for you, these ar ebloody awful cars, hate them'' this gave me mixed emotion as he was fixing it whilst dissing it!!! I played dumb and said ''oh whys that then'' he continued, ''they cobbled together one of the worst cars audi built blah blah blah'' I chuckled inside. I then said ''so, does anyone make a good car?'' ''Oh yeah'' he said ''look at that A4 1.9tdi over there, brilliant engine the 1.9 tdi perhaps the best made''...I chuckled inside and figured his knowledge wasnt as strong as hed like to think, I gave him a fiver for his troubles and drove smoothly into work in my 1.9 tdi with a missing cylinder.

Funny how someone can help me fix my car whilst slating it, then recommend the same engine. Still chuckling inside..I felt sorry for him as Id now never use or recommend his garage :)
