Nice one mate. You said you were looking to reduce the mileage on your prized A2 - a good move that. Looks tidy your new daily.

Yeh it’s not in bad nick for the miles and age just needs a couple of niggles sorting but nothing I can’t sort while it’s in use

I can do the loan ECU service or just send me your ECU if you don't fancy a drive out to St Annes
it will feel very flat after driving a remapped TDI

cheers,
Paul

OK Nat, your always welcome here , I was just offering alternatives to a drive over
The illuminations are on for the next few weeks so you could always have a ride through the lights when you are here

Cheers,
Paul

Today I pulled together the new parts that will hopefully be fitted to my A2 this coming weekend.

In no particular order:
The above will compliment the ATE ceramic discs and pads already fitted.

Can't wait...

Today I finally fixed my alarm siren, after about a month, thanks to Jeremy (@sciroccorrado) who sent me a working, later type alarm to replace the earlier type one, which turned out to not work. Much appreciated Jeremy.

I bet you can't wait, It's a great feeling that sense of knowing it's all new and not be able to wait to see what it drives like. I can feel the Excitement here mate. Are you doing it all yourself?

(well actually yesterday) I fitted a 'new to me' TT steering wheel and airbag, it is in mint condition from ebay at £30 delivered.
I thought I preferred the four spoke wheel until I recently drove an A2 with the three spoke wheel, the extra shape around the 9 and 3 o'clock positions fit my hands perfectly, so it was a 3 spoke sports wheel for me, and I always liked the look of the TT wheel with its chunky aluminium ring. I would like to find the TT gear stick surround to mate with the TT steering wheel - anyone got one kicking around that they are willing to part with. I've got the sports knob so only need the lower ring that the gator fits into
Cheers,
Paul

I would like to do this mod also, there are a few on fleabay but the don’t seem to have the screws with them for around £20, has anyone posted a guide on how to fit or is it quite simple?

Disconnect the battery, wait ten mins, then try to operate the electric windws (to discharge everything)
undo the two screws at the back of the steering wheel that retain the airbag
lift the airbag forward and remove the yellow connector from the angle position sensor, remove the airbag and place to one side
undo the 12 point screw in the centre of the steering column
before you remove this nut, ensure steering wheel is point in the straight ahead position, remove the screw and look at the wheel were it meats the steering column. There is a mark and a triangle that should align.
pull the wheel of the splines, and slide the new wheel on aligning the mark and triangle, check the wheel is in the straight ahead position, if not remove and align to a different spline.
Refit the nut and tighten
connect the airbag yellow connector, slip the airbag into position
tighten the two torx screws that retain the airbag
reconnect the battery
road test the car and ensure the wheel is level.
