A2 Cars Feedback

New shoes on your shiny vessel!

Must say Dave, your car really suits those fat boy wheels!
I still can't work out how you drove over 4 hours and your car was still spotless, my journey was a lot less and my car was filthy, are you sure you didn't stop for a pit stop wash lol!

Having driven it today around the local roads it is a perfect compromise Jeff between comfort and handling - spot on, thankyou!. :)

A Big Thankyou to A2 Cars

It wasn’t just the extortionate amount I was quoted by my local VAG specialists that put me off trusting them to replace the dual mass flywheel and clutch on my TDi90, it was mostly the casual throw-away comment “We’ve never done an A2 before, but how hard can it be? It’s just nuts and bolts”
Having read several glowing recommendations I decided to contact of Tony at A2 Cars in Milton Keynes.
It’s a 100 mile round trip for me, but I wanted the reassurance that this work would be done by someone with the knowledge and experience required.
From the outset Tony was pleasant and helpful. I had caught him in the middle of something, but he promptly called me back with a detailed quotation for the work.
As I was shortly due to go on holiday. Tony very kindly arranged to do the job at a few days’ notice – which I am extremely grateful for, as I don’t think the clutch & DMF would have made the trip from the midlands to the Lake District! ( and back!)
I dropped my car off – and of course chatted at length to Tony about the numerous A2’s lined up outside his workshop. 2 days later, right on time as agreed, I collected my A2, not just fixed, but gleaming! (Thanks for the valet)
The loan of a courtesy car was great; the fact that it was also an A2 was fantastic. Tony is very clever here – the courtesy car has cruise control. Guess what’s next on my wish list of modifications?
Tony kept me updated on the progress of the work, and as a couple of other issues came to light during the job, he phoned to explain these, and we agreed to do these at the same time.
He was also very helpful in providing several tips on things to look out for – how to maintain the Open Sky Roof and other common issues.
It’s not just that Tony knows these special cars inside-out, but he clearly loves them, and let’s be honest, if we are a member of the A2OC it’s because we feel the same way!
Thanks again to Tony. I would unreservedly recommend him to any A2 owner and I wish him and A2 Cars every success for the future.

TDI 90 6 speed gearbox at A2 cars

Big thanks Petra,Tony Jack
The DMF final give up at 113k on my Tdi 90 last month ,I always said when it goes I would have 6 gearbox upgrade.
I researched the various options and after taking to Tony decided to take it to A2 cars at Milton Keynes .
They removed my gearbox and took it to Germany for total strip down and rebuilt replacing any damaged or worn parts with full 12 months garuantee
Taking into account my driving style and type of roads we use, we decided to keep to the first 5 ratios the same as standard 90 with a longer 6th.
Well after picking up my car on Saturday and a fantastic drive home to Gloucestershire along the beautiful A40 ,Have differently made the correct choice
After filling up with Shell Nitro diesel in Buckingham, I zeroed the trip computer for the 72 mile drive home
When i got home after really quite drive as engine is running 1950rpm at true 70mph
I had averaged 50mph with average of mpg of 75.3!
Next motorway trip will have ago at cracking the 80 mpg
Will be back to Tony’s in about 6 months when it's time for a cambelt change
Thanks again to the team at A2 cars

Great stuff - the 6speed mod really changes the way the car drives at highway speed doesn't it - very worthwhile!

Service & MOT satisfaction at A2 Cars

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Tony and Jack for looking after my little Tanklet yesterday.

After an oil service and a pre MOT check to make sure that not only MOT stuff, but everything was ok, he passed his MOT for another years enjoyment. Was great chatting to Tony and Jack about cars in general - it's obvious that they have a passion about cars and take the care towards your own car that you'd take yourself.

My other half will be taking her TT there for it's next service I'm sure as I obviously will this time next year.

Thanks again. :D

Another fanstastic job by A2 Cars

Hi all,

As most people were aware at ADI I was missing Ringo my lovely yellow A2 1.6 FSI Colour Storm for the show after the engine warning light came on and wouldn't go off. Well I am pleased to say that after a 'spa break' with Tony at A2 Cars he is now back with me and running like a dream. After some replacement parts and a good thorough cleaning (hence the term 'spa break') inside and out he now purrs like a kitten and doesn't sound like a tractor when I start him up (Sorry Timmus, I know you loved that about him). He no longer feels sluggish when on the motorway - I think I will have to watch myself with the speed cameras for a while now.

I would like to add a big thank you to Tony and Petra for helping me out by driving up to a meeting point to collect and drop off my car as I had used all my holiday at work so couldn't take the time off. You guys are amazing and fantastic friends.

Looking forward to showing him off at the end of year meal. See you all there.
Aimee :D :D :D :D :D

Something I haven't posted too yet and thanks for reminding me Aimee, I too had my yellow storm back from A2 cars just before ADI, and with Tony falling ill during its stay he really made the effort to get things finished in time, kindly dropping the car back to me too, a first class service indeed!! Hats off to A2 cars (Wooly ones) in fact lol
A long way to come Tony for a salmon curry but hope it was worth it!
Thanks again Tony, Petra and Jack!!!

I must also say a great big thank you to Vonnie who very kindly ferried me back and forth to A2 Cars! it was much appreciated, and nice to have a ride in a very special 'White A2' something I can now tick off my bucket list haha!

Another very satisfied customer here for A2Cars - first class service, helpful, knowledgeable - a pleasure to visit!

Simon.

Postscript: Soon after posting this I found some extensive damage had been done to the plastic sill mouldings by careless jacking, engine mounts were incorrectly torqued and a fastener was missing from the intake hose.

A2 Cars

Thanks Tony and Petra for the care and attention to detail while servicing our A2.
Thanks also for the lift to and from Bletchley Park, a fascinating place to spend the day while our little car was being fixed.
Peter

A2Cars really do go the extra mile for their customers.

It is good to hear from so many satisfied customers.

Thanks

I joined recently after my mechanic, a very good Citroen specialist, wisely declined to look into my issue after an initial diagnostic. Here I discovered A2Cars as the go-to garage. What a joy to find Tony, an engineer who embodies the concept and ethos of the A2. After more testing, his provisional diagnosis given over the phone proved entirely correct. Very impressive. Highly recommended. Many thanks A2OC. ;->

There are plenty of followers for Tonys excellence. I make a 400 mile round trip when the car needs attention.
