Forum Update Today

Seem to have lost the ability to edit my own posts now - noticed a typo on the TDi loss of power thread, but there's no edit tab on my posts. Teething issues I'm guessing and tweekery may well be afoot.
 
It looks like a timing issue to me, It could be that there is a setting that allows edits for a small period and then automatically removes the option.

Yes I said that above, but what is curious the edit facility is still available on old posts prior to the upgrade. Appears to effect only new posts since the upgrade.

I’ve fixed the limited time editing issue. Just one of the many new options in the new system’s permissions.

I find easiest way to expose post number on iOS is to hold your finger on the #123 post ID on the right of each post. When you let go a window will pop up describing the link, and you can see the post ID at the end.

Hi Ben. I hope this hasn't been asked before, but is there any progress on removing a persons 'like' from the latest activity. If 4 or 5 people like a thread then the latest activity can quickly become full of likes. (Please nobody like this this post :) )

Not without a custom module. It's on my backlog, but will depend on when I have time.

You need to use some different tags for this, I don't think the new one supports [TABLE - but uses [LIST instead

[LIST=1] [*]Like this [*]and this [/LIST]
  1. Like this
  2. and this

[LIST] [*]Like this [*]and this [/LIST]
  • or this ...
  • and this]
 
There is a bit of noise on the FB Owners Club UK Group of people who cannot access the forum, unfortunately I cannot either recreate or screenshot. @AJ Brewster and Michael Ghia are amongst those affected.

If you can get Michael Ghia's username, I can check. AJ Brewster appears to have the correct permissions. Note the he will need to log-in to see all the content of course.
