Handbrake Cable Group Orders

Evening all,

Here are all the group order relevant posts from Steve handbrake cable thread. This has been provided to maintain the flow of the original thread whilst we all add our interest here for Rick @Rickmeister to selflessly supply us with what we desire.

I'll build the lists later on this evening. Of note, I'm here just conducting assistance as this is a Rick's and Ian's @in9999 venture. Rick is going to send the order to Ian, who will distribute to everyone here in the UK.

Whilst the registered interest is extracted to build the lists, I'll also try to tidy it up without ruining the flow of this new thread.

I think the super efficiency of the forum has meant as I wasn't online last night (busy climbing wall at my local climbing wall) this has escalated very quickly to formalise a list missing my name when A2Steve actually started this thread following a conversation we had with my search for the elusive handbrake cable. I am in urgent need of a cable - snapped way back in October. Ordered one from Latvia that didn't arrive. MOT due Monday.

Please add me to the priority list.

Yes this has proved to be very popular and escalated to 2x lists with a reserve rather quickly. I apologise that you were missed off the first list. I guess Rick @Rickmeister has taken the names from the first list which was built between both @in9999 and myself, I guess everyone has already made contact with Rick so assume the first list is now closed.

To help out here I am willing to send you 1 of my 2 cables as its obviously the right thing to do. I'll add myself to the list 2 reserve. I hope this is acceptable Sir.

Hi all, crikey looks like I'm a bit late to the party...

Please can I put my name down for the second or third batch order please !. I've got my MOT in March and was planning to do the rear brakes prior and with the handbrake being poor, don't think I'll take a chance on not having one of these ready.

Update. First list is closed but, after a mail from Richard I will try for 11 cables later today due to circumstances as he was the original contact!.

If that doesn't work then the plan b offer would be a donation from someone asking for 2 cables.

Let's go with that and I'll post again after the order and people who have mailed me will get a copy of the Audi order note.

Secord listers, please don't contact me just yet please or things will get messy.

Afternoon all,

I have decided to ditch the list 2 reserve and build a separate list 3.

So here goes:

List 3
List removed, refer to Post #1

That’s the 3rd list of 10 items finished.

Please don’t contact Rick until he informs us all that he is ready to move into the next list.

I have gone through the order process and paid €600 for the cables. I missed clicking the 2 week deferred PP option but here we are. Its paid.

I have a order confirmation from Audi of what I requested. I am not sure that the ordering system online talks to the stock system, so I can't actually request more than they are holding. I asked for 11, paid for 11 but I'm not sure the online interface knows if 11 are in stock.

I guess that:

1. I get exactly what I ordered. It arrives, everyone is happy. Refunds, post etc.

2. I get delivered what they have if it's lower than 11 and I get a credit note for the balance. If this happens then it's clear there is no more stock for a 2nd/3rd order.

The list 1 people will be getting the forwarded email from Audi this afternoon and I'll deal with things when they arrive.....

Again, please let me deal with one bundle at a time here!
