Project peperami - (A2Steve)

What concerns me most about this is that the TDi 75 and 90 have different pressure plate and freewheel diameters. There's around 12mm between them, so I'd assume this kit will include the smaller parts, if it'll fit in the 90, as the 90 parts will not fit into the housing of a 75.

I wonder if they're willing to reimburse two lots of labour if/when their kit is found to be unsuitable?

Hi Mike

Yes, it would be a worry but it's actually listed as being for the TDI 90 to replace the dmf setup.

Yes, I get that, but the worry is that the same part is also listed as being suited for the TDi 75 too. Would you put a standard TDi 75 clutch into a 90?

Awesome! - looks like a top job, I'd love to get my car stripped down for the same treatment... but unlikely to happen .
Nice colour choice!

Steve would appreciate if you could do a wee write up on the intercooler changes if you get time, especially any work done to the intercooler itself to make it fit and what you've done for brackets.

Assuming the paint shop are spraying the bumpers for you as well off the car?

Will do in time mate. Want to run it for a bit first to check it works.

Yes everything is beng painted off the car.

Intercooler pipework has been ordered and is on it's way. The difference in angle on the unit i'm using and a slightly larger bore means i'll have to do a bit of fettling with some different intercooler pipes to get it plumbed in but i'm hopeful it's going to work.

The body shop have agreed to paint the rear section of the sideskirts that they 'forgot' to do. On a plus note they have also found my doorlocks that they had misplaced so once they all arrive at the end of the week i'll be back on the road.

that's two fairly large bits that the body shop to 'forget' to paint, I get missing a jacking point cover, but both side rear skirt pieces !!!

best of luck with the re assy, I always like that part of a project, especially when it is done and no damage caused to fresh paintwork by re assy

Cheers,

In all fairness to them, the car went to them stripped down so I can see how it happened.

I'm paranoid about marking the paintwork. I've chipped it twice already :-/

Hopefully you'll see the funny side of this, at Kodak if we made a mistake on our professional products during production it was 3 strikes and out. Imagine what sort of regime the Audi workers are under? Looking forward to seeing the finished article.:)
