Today I.....

it's 31C in the shade and I've just set the date of ITX - that's IceTrack 10 - for 9+10 Feb 2019. Don't know whether it's good or bad to be talking about snow and ice in these temperatures....

Spent about 5 hours finishing the paintwork on @A2Sam 's Frankie. It was ok coming back from the paintshop but he had rushed the final prep because the courier was coming to collect.

I've

Wet sanded with 2000 grit wet/dry
Wet sanded with 3000 grit wet/dry
Machine polished with Mezerna heavy cut compound
Hand polished with Autoglym super resin polish

It was a bit nervy taking sandpaper to fresh paintwork but after the first pass it was fine.

I'm now happy with the paintwork :)

I’m a lucky girl ;-) thank you, she’s looking top notch xxx

Pinky - that is more than healthy :)
I think you can afford to wait a few weeks before viewing, it is sure to still be there at that price

I’m not buying it! Heaven’s no!

I’m just interested in whether the owner feels that all A2s are unique - metaphorically of course - or his in particular. That is the most expensive 1.4 I think I’ve ever seen advertised. Presumably it’s got all of the options so why be shy with no pics of the interior...?

hmmm

It would have to have one HECK of a spec to get me to have a look at it, and it's not got one of the essentials for a start anyway (OSS), the mileage is good, but not that special.

Whether an ambitious punt or otherwise, I for one am pleased to see such inflated prices for these underrated aluminium modern classics. Appreciation, monetary wise, is long over due.

I quite agree. If all were so priced we wouldn’t have any worries about ridiculous offers from insurance companies following a small scrape.

With the current diesel crusade I can only predict that petrol A2 will rise are rising in value...

Wants £4,400 and can't be bother to take photos all round and inside and out. And the 2 photos he has are washed out. Plus the description is just 19 words. Nothing "Unique" to me. Obviously an extremely optimistic person, or should that be unrealistic person.

Ah, Alan, but therin lies the mystery. Surely there must be more than meets the eye
