... Well, yesterday, actually.
Replaced the intercooler on the Crystal Blue Car, with a Timmus intercooler. Did the Storm about a year ago, but still took me about 6 hours and boy was it warm! Getting those wheel arch liners out and back in really does my head in. Replaced some of the hoses will blue silicone ones too.
A few pictures:
Getting to the heart of the problem. Front off and offending article visible.
Replacement pressure sensor to suit new intercooler with later, smaller connection, alongside older larger version.
New intercooler, sensor fitted, ready to put back.
New silicone hoses ready.
One in.
Intercooler fitted. Time to put everything else back.
All done. Wheels to refit and road test.
Phew bit of a long and mucky job, but all done!

Yeh I’ve had them refurbed Darren.... I really like the look of them but photos don’t do them justice has they are a high gloss anthracite and not totally finished yer as I have ordered new genuine centre caps and wheel nut covers.... you’ll see the finished job at the end of the month

Watch out for flood water this time... no more knuckle grazing removing the front splitter this time please...

Spotted this one outside Marlborough Hill park Twickenham today.
And whilst over in Teddington caught this beautiful example. Bought locally simone loves her 1.4 petrol, knows Gary our mechanic small world, and might be joining A2OC soon.
