Very nice steve.

And not very far from you either, I got the train to Witham and then a cab ride to Great Yeldham, LOVELY part of the world!!! Great roads, beautiful houses, worth the trip for the scenery by itself.

Cheers

An official welcome back to the fold Steve; a nicely specified variant you have bought yourself.

I hope this one proves to be the Steve B keeper and you have fun putting your own stamp on it.

Today I met Mark (Vorsprung durch Technik) and his lovely family and enjoyed a curry and a pint in good company. Audi A2 chatter was a natural topic, though not a monopoly.

I can also add that today I also had my second ever trip as a rear A2 passenger in Mark's (Karen's) A2. A nice place to be, especially sitting on that lovely twist leather which is baby soft and immaculate after Mark's lavish and attention to detail. A wonderful interior which compliments the cobalt blue coachwork well IMHO.

A2 retro fit front fogs

Tackled the retrofit of front fogs to my A2. Took me longer than i thought it would (approx 4 hours). But very happy with results. Purchased an OEM harness from a seller in Germany. Audi plugs and correct cable size/colour which was plug and play on both ends.

Harness cost £25 plus postage. But was well worth it.

Any chance of a link to the seller or even their name etc. please? I am retrofitting mine.

I have just ordered the complete kit (apart from the loom) for £80 (NON OEM) but it contains (everything new)

Fog light surrounds (black trim to replace the blank trim)
New fog lights
Bulbs
They certainly look OEM and have the advantage of being brand new and so they look the part.

I have bought a few sets of these over the years and they are not OEM but they are good value.

Today I managed to finish the task I started yesterday.
Remove the aircon compressor from the spares car and fit it to the Tdi. Easy to remove from the petrol car, but a lot more difficult on the Tdi. Less room because of the extra radiator and fittings. A few scrapped knuckles and scratches to the arms later, and now alls well. You never know what you will find when working on a car you've bought. Like others hardly any screws in the undertray, and it got worse the rear has been cut away to allow acess to the oil drain ! !. And worse, the offside front has been cut to allow acess to the air filter ! ! Changed oil and filter while the car was on the ramps. So all round a busy two days..
