Today I treated my A2 to an A2 registration.
Set a few A2 personal records.
Today drove our A2 the furthest ever in one journey. Actually it’s quite unremarkable as we usually use larger cars for long journeys; 325 miles. I just wanted to test all the recent repairs, no problems ?
very noticeable, quite amazing how a set of crystal clear head lights can take years of a car. However don't dump the old ones, a rub with 1000 grit wet and dry in warm soapy water will remove the yellowing and then a few coats of 2K clear lacquer will keep them clear for years.Didn't realise my headlights were that bad. A quick swap out makes the car look years younger. Well almost
Can I also add a well done. Another A2 saved from the scrap man and a nice finished resultNice work there...a big well done from me and it's good to see it will be back on the road.
Just out of interest does anyone know when the washer jets changed...I am led to believe that the earlier "fan type" spray system is better than the later double pin holes.

makes a big difference, now you need one of my plastic trim covers to fit over the two rivets to finish it off and stop the water ingress into the rivet/pivot pins. keep a little oil on the pivot pins every few months to prevent wear in the pins and bushes
I certainly do, the fan type (early ones) are crap, the newer 2 jet ones are a vast improvement. You need the plastic scuttle panel as well to change the nozzles as the Fan ones are oblong and the latter 2 jet ones are ovalPaul(Deproman) has a strong view !! - Andy

No not had to alter the jets since installed them 10 months agoI have the later type on ours but find it extremely frustrating to maintain the correct spray angle. You can set correctly then with all this hot weather the plastic scuttle panel expands/moves in this heat and puts the angle out again. Anyone else noticed this?
