White dials instrument cluster!

As above - I quite like the new Audi fonts and I would clean up the dash front where I have a scratch or two.
For me, White Dials are only appropriate for the S and RS models - and my A2 definitely isn't in that category :)
 
I agree wth Dan, having a 2011 car and a 2003 car I find the dials quite tired looking, so for me an upgrade to the newer fonts would be of interest.

Maybe we can start a group buy, we seem to need a minimum of 6 to get a reasonable discount, and i guess we all have to be TDI owners as well.

And I'm sure their tooling costs would be the same for a black or a white-backed dial kit?

The discount would be per pattern of course. So 5 other people would need to join David in selecting white before it'd be worthwhile.


(Personally I dislike white). You can put me down in the black&TDI column. All I need to do is find a DIS cluster to go with it :)

If we get 6 or more people together, I would strongly recommend that the club buys some extra & resells them, given that the incremental cost past 6 seems to be virtually zero. Can we get an A2OC logo in there (and would people be happy with that)?

Personally I wouldn't want a logo on there but good point for buying extra for forum re-sell if we get over the tipping point.
 
I am tempted but would they fit for non diss as well? I would have to find someone who is compitant to swap it over as well.
 
I've just got home from work and the way this thread has gone caused a chuckle. Poor David; he'll be spending £185 on white dials whilst the rest of you get your choice for £48. :p
 
I agree - the area around the centre display is the same size regardless of whether it is full high-line DIS, or the low-line display I'm sure.

White dials are one of those things I'd like to see on someone else's car. I like them, but not enough to have them myself. If you can justify the cost, go for it, David.

Oh, and I wouldn't dare steal your lighting ideas!
 
I thought that it wasn't necessary to put "LOL" after my quip regarding pinching my badge idea! Well, you don't have to be "mad" to get the ideas that I develop, but it certainly helps! Oh, here's another (idea) BACK-LIT number plates! I think that'll be pretty unique, too!
