In light of this there will be a slight change of plan for the Friday, we will meet at the car park of The Royal Bolton le Sands around 3pm ish for a 3.15 ish departure to meet up with Tom. We will drive along the prom towards Heysham then on to Overton.
People are are still more than welcome to come to ours for a cuppa and cake anytime after 1pm.

Thanks for the invite (for tea and cake) Mandy and Martin but we think we'll go direct to the Royal Hotel and get checked in. We're in Keswick at the moment.

Hot off the press. Little Atom went for a cam belt kit water pump, air con regas, tracking and MOT today after being off the road for almost 2 years, still plenty to do (new dog bone due Thurs) but it's now looking good to go for Sat with a new MOT (no advisories).

Sunny again today (I took 3 days of hols) so the new dog bone arrived and was fitted along with putting back the 4 wheel arch liners, strengthened the hub cap pull holes, glued a washer to the back of them.
Found out the fuel filler flap that was working has stopped working so will open it via the boot to fuel up ready for Saturday.

Mate of mine who lives at Overton, also Retired Heysham 2 Shift Operations Technician colleague, says they have been clearing the road and trenches at the side of the road out to Sunderland Point.

I’ve said to Mrs that we should come in separate Cars. A2 and 1966 Beetle. Don’t know if she agrees.

Probably going to nip to Grange Over Sands beforehand to pick up a Clock from the Repairers. Great views of the Bay from over that side, all the way along the Coast Road to Barrow In Furness.

Convoy could make a small detour tomorrow via Lake District Audi at Lindale ? See what the reaction would be to a hoard of A2s landing on them !
