Today I.....

It's not a flaw with your iPad. The list stops at 15, as viewed on my pc. Could these clips be sold with 15 ?
Thanks for taking the time to check. I assume as they have separate numbers they are individual parts and group parts are normally bracketed together.

That's an issue I have seen from the parts database from time to time. Obsolete parts disappear from the list so they are in the diagram but that number is not in the parts grid. The rear disc brake set up on the A2 is pretty much the same as the contemporary VW Polo and that parts list is also missing the parts you mentioned.
Thanks for checking and the look at the Polo alternative. I hope it is not obsolete mine are really rusty, they might be salvageable but just struck me as easier to buy new, they cannot cost much.

I will cut and paste the 7zap diagram and send it to Tom at CreweAudi and see what he can come up with.

Be interested to know how the nightbreakers compare against standard (?) bulbs

today I finished moving 14 years of receipts from a stuffed Audi binder to a separate ring binder. Each year is separated + a list of items for that year plus summary of vehicle and all build options.

I also number crunched and summarised all the costs.
Average cost pa £2,464 (includes purchase cost)
Average cost pm 47p (ditto)
Average mpg 57.4

It's 1.4 TDi 75 remapped with 5th gear upgrade

yesterday I fitted by TT gear knob and gaiter with aluminium retaining ring, its a great match for the TT steering wheel, really improves the A2 interior. Only slight problem in the 1 Deg C temp this morning the gear knob was rather (VERY) cold to the hand, certainly prevent you resting your hand on the gear lever (not that I ever do that :))

You need someone to knit one of these

The bloody aluminium knob looks the dogs dangly bits, but god is it cold to the touch first thing in the morning when the ambient temp is 1 deg C
I can see the attraction for the leather clad knob, but my TT knob is staying put. Maybe time to find those driving gloves :)

The gear knob in my TT is part leather - part aluminum. Mine's a 2001, I think the all aluminum one was on later models / specials. I must admit I don't think I could get on with an all aluminum knob! Part leather is always an option if you don't like the cold!

Assuming you need to screw the tt surround down ... at least where the screw heads aren't fake?
The 8 screws around the base ring are not fake, they are used to secure the ring and trap the rubber gaiter in place. I had to 3D print a moon shaped piece that goes under the ring at the front (so the ring can sit slightly further back by around 15mm), this allows the rear most screw to fit into the plastic of the gear stick cowling, and the front screws to attach to the 3D printed moon shaped mount which is glued to the fillet plate that goes in front of the gear stick.
The biggest challenge is the knob mount is different on the TT to the A2, I modified an original A2 std gear knob by removing all the soft plastic to reveal the hard plastic spine. This was cut down and remodelled to suit the TT knob and the TT aluminium under knob sleeve. Finally the gear knob emblem needed to be changed from a 6 speed one that came with the TT knob to a 5 speed one from the old A2 knob, this was 1mm smaller diameter than the TT emblem, so a thin aluminium 'tube' needed to be turned to suit the A2 emblem and the TT knob
All in all what looked like a 1/2 hour job turned out to be some 3+ hours of work, but I do like the end result as it matches well with the TT steering wheel which I prefer over the A2 sports wheel (only for the thicker and dimpled aluminium ring on the airbag)
Cheers,

I've not noticed any blu-ish tint to them, I thought that was usually around 6000k (ish) Like you, I'm not a fan of the strong blue tint look either.
