Today I.....

Very easy to be fair, first unclip the air feed pipe at the top left of the engine, then unscrew the mounting point in the middle of the same pipe (this allows the pipe to move once the last clip is done), unscrew the clip on the right of the pipe that attaches to the TB, then unscrew the 4 bolts that attach the TB to the engine and pull apart. I also removed the piece between the TB and engine that has a metal pipe attached by two bolts and a rubber hose connected with a clip, that way I was able to clean the holes that feed into each pipe that were clogged with carbon. Only thing to remember is order a new gasket.
I hope that helps?
It did indeed! Gave mine the same treatment today and it’s made a real difference to the pull away in first and second gear :)

We waved off the tdi A2 we bought new over 20 years ago - off to pastures new with Nathan aka nat_s2 in A2OC.
It’s been a loyal servant here until passed on to our son but as he’s now in London he needs an ULEZ car so I’ve sold up here in the north where tdi still ok.
Still our FSI and daughters tdi keeping us posted n the ‘family’.
Chris

Yesterday, I continued preparations for speaker upgrade project.
Weekend before I installed deadening on front right door (installed front doors adapters many years ago), now rear right deadened and adapter installed.
Two down, two to go :)

Today I realised (again) it's always worth ringing up Audi for parts that you might have thought would be aggressively expensive.
£42 for the entire undertray, an original Audi part !! whereas saw grubby and half-knackered used ones going for £75 on ebay)
Is there an online resource we can use to check dealer prices? @CreweAudi ?

Swapped out slatted service flap for a smooth one

Is that so? I get the impression the slatted is more sought after (more expensive and less available on ebay - makes sense if only fitted late 2003 to early 2005 models). I'd like to try the slatted meself

Would be nice to see a all alubody A2 driving around, like a DeLorian( I know, glass fiber and steel panels) but still.
Audi did one once for promotion`which they took to events. It might still me in their museum.
I forgotten whether the plastic panels were replaced by aluminium ones; probably to get the deep shine.

Which part was this ? Is it the full engine undertray in which case that’s really reasonably priced .

I have never seen that promotion A2 before!
Looks like they made plastic into alu for this one.
Imagine that car, parked in an october allée, where the aluminium is lightly corroded.
That would look good!
The S8 looks dated, and the A2 so dynamic.
Gather the engineers/designteam behind the A2, and Elon M in Berlin, and we have a push on the evolution.
