You know what's said about buses ...three knocks on the door in 45 minutes and three different couriers delivering goodies.
First up ...
Been keeping any eye out for a heated seats A2 climate for ages (over a year) and nothing has popped up, like gold dust and rocking horse ...
Anything in our climate style (not just A2) rarely crops up on eBay then last week what I think is an absolute bargain at £39, a near mint hard touch A4 B5 version, very pleased.....

What to do with it?
EITHER (not attractive)
Use the button housing with an A2 climate back box and then make the front fit. This means somehow marrying the top vent part of an A2 climate facia with the unit and using trim infill to match the width, (it's a few millimetres narrower than our A2 climate). Possible and will probably look okay but odd, not appealing to me.
OR
The real reason I bought it was for the heated seat thumbwheel switches and buttons (worth its price alone) AND to take measurements. It seems to me that an ordinary non heated seat A2 climate already has the 'tunnels' at the side to receive the thumbwheel switches, all that is needed is the square holes to expose the thumbwheels on the facia. Has anybody done this?, is it feasible? I asked this question last week in an 'underworld' (Marketplace) thread last week and got no response so worth asking again in this main forum. Of course the new square holes have to be very precise and cosmetically acceptable but I think this is within my skill set. I know I lose the heated seated icons but I can live with that as I know what they will do!
This is a back burner project but does anybody want (or know anybody who wants) the empty A4 B5 climate facia and back box going cheap at £39
