Today I.....

Yes I put a couple in the spares pile a while ago .. I have lemforder on one & meyle on another I personally rate meyle gear ...
I changed my pressed steel ones for Meyle at 226k. I also changed my original rear springs for sachs. The car definitely rides better and feels more supple yet planted than before.

so, ive found right and left febi at 69 and 67 quid, but, it says these are for the 1.4 and 1.6 petrol.
am I right in saying that these will be good to go but with different bushes.

These are the correct for an early tdi with cast arms ..if you check later tdis it will say not suitable but that’s only because later had pressed arms They are the ones ? same as I have as spare set for our tdis ..

My 2005 tdi 90 had the pressed steel trailing arms and I replaced with said Meyle cast one's and bushes - fitted perfectly

I got to go for a drive in my A2 after 2 months of works! And wow does it go.
new shocks, springs, wishbones, bushes, arb bushes, tie rod ends. Fixed the Flexi in the exhaust. Thoroughly washed out the cat. New discs callipers and pads. new drums, new shoes. tracking done. injectors professionally refurbished. new head gasket. new glow plugs. new valves and head lightly skimmed. new timing belt, new water pump, weeb*****d serviced and confirmed working for first time in ten years [new burner chamber]. Back in now to change the gearbox oil and fit the under tray.
Holy cow, that's better than new now then. ?

The only thing im worried about now is the two long bolts snapping, going spray plenty easing oil on them over the next couple of weeks.
I believe they should be replaced any way, any links to the ones I need guys please, I dont know where to start looking.

Thanks

The tdi 90 passed it’s MOT with no advisories. Heater matrix flushed and flappers reset, hope that fixes the heater issues. Sports steering wheel fitted and tracking adjusted after the suspension rebuild.
Good to hear Charles - hope Audrey’s old light switch has smartened your interior up nicely.
