I had 15" Pepperpots with 15mm spacers on and had no issues whatsoever. The Pepperpots sat 2.5mm further out than the original 17" Sport wheels from the arch. Obviously the Sport wheels are 7" wide and the Pepperpots 6" wide and both sets of wheels have the same offset of 38mm.

I did mine a couple of weeks ago and what an amazing difference it makes.
